What are You Supposed to Wear to a Pinning Ceremony?
When attending a hospice veteran pinning ceremony, we recommend choosing attire that is respectful and comfortable. We believe that care always matters, and dressing thoughtfully helps maintain the reverent tone this tribute deserves.
Appropriate attire for the ceremony includes:
- Business-casual clothing: Consider wearing a collared shirt, slacks, or a dress. A good rule of thumb is to wear something you would feel comfortable wearing to work.
- Patriotic accents: Many participants choose to incorporate patriotic colors into their outfit or wear an American flag lapel pin to honor the veteran’s service.
- Comfortable footwear: It is important to choose clothing that allows you to focus entirely on the ceremony and your loved one.
We suggest avoiding very casual items such as athletic wear or shorts. Because we treat your family like our own, our goal is to ensure the environment remains supportive and honorable for the veteran and their guests.
Please note: Results may vary based on individual patient conditions. Patients may discontinue hospice services at any time; hospice care focuses on comfort rather than cure.
