What Support Groups are Available for Grieving Children?
We offer specialized support groups specifically designed for children to help them navigate the complex emotions of loss. These sessions are led by our Bereavement Coordinator and are part of a comprehensive set of grief services available to families in Ohio and Indiana.
Key features of these support groups include:
- Multiple Formats: Support groups meet weekly or biweekly and are available both in person and virtually to accommodate your family’s schedule.
- Safe Environment: All discussions within the groups are strictly confidential, and participation is always a voluntary personal choice.
- Peer Connection: The groups allow children to connect with others who are experiencing similar pain, helping to reduce isolation and foster hope.
- Integrated Care: Our coordinators work alongside nurses, social workers, and chaplains to ensure the emotional and spiritual aspects of a child’s loss are addressed together.
These services are part of the hospice benefit and are available to immediate family members at no extra cost for at least 13 months following a loss. If you are interested in upcoming sessions for a child, you can reach out to our team by phone or through our website.
