What is a Hospice Memory Book Program?
A hospice memory book program is a specialized legacy project where our volunteers help patients and their families preserve their most cherished moments. We believe that care always matters, and this program is designed to create a lasting tribute that provides comfort to families for years to come.
Our memory book volunteers assist by:
- Lovingly compiling personal photographs and mementos into a beautiful, tangible record of the patient’s life.
- Collaborating with families to organize these materials in a way that reflects their unique story.
- Providing a creative and meaningful activity that helps patients find a sense of purpose and accomplishment in their final chapter.
In addition to memory books, we offer related legacy services such as legacy interviews, where volunteers record a patient’s life stories and wisdom, and professional family photos. These services are provided at no cost as part of our commitment to treating your family like our own. Together, these programs ensure that even though we cannot change the outcome, we can affect the journey by honoring a life well-lived.
